About Us
STEAMKids is a new learning center in Belmont where talented kids can come immerse themselves in STEAM: science + math , technology + engineering, entrepreneurship, art & design, and making. We offer classes, contest-based programs and camps for students ages 8+.
We are also the official World Robot Olympiad (WRO) tournament partner for California. Click here to read about our past WRO tournament, held last year in Foster City, CA.
Philosophy
We believe every child should have the opportunity to reach his or her full potential. Yet too often, bright kids are left unchallenged and unmotivated in a one-size-fits-all learning environment, resulting in mediocre achievement. In our changing world, parents need to equip their kids with the tools and skills needed to prepare them to succeed in an increasing competitive world. We believe a strong grounding in the STEAM+E disciplines is a key part of this preparation.
At STEAMKids, we provide hands-on classes, contest-based programs, and lectures in STEAM: Science, Technology, Entrepreneurship, Art & design, and Making. Our learning center brings talented and curious kids together to create solutions - whether they be solutions to Math Olympiad problems or LEGO robotics programming challenges. Our future maker lab will enable kids to take their creativity and ideas to the next level using new technologies like 3D printing.
